Growing Guide

  • Season: Warm season (plant after last frost)

  • Sun: Full sun

  • Soil: Fertile, well-drained soil; add compost

  • Sowing: Direct sow when soil is warm

    • Plant 1 inch deep

  • Spacing: 12–18 inches apart; provide a strong trellis/fence

  • Water: Keep evenly moist while establishing; moderate watering after

  • Harvest: Pick pods young (6–10 inches) for best texture; harvest often to encourage more pods
