Why Grow Organic Cat Grass?

Organic Cat Grass is a simple, fresh, and pet-friendly indoor green that can be grown year-round. The blend of wheat, barley, oats, and rye creates a balanced mix of tender green grass that pets can nibble naturally.

Many pet owners offer cat grass as a fresh enrichment option for indoor cats and small pets. It gives pets access to clean greens at home and may help satisfy their natural interest in chewing grass.

Nutrient Profile

Cat Grass Blend naturally contains plant-based nutrients such as protein, potassium, iron, calcium, phosphorus, zinc, B-complex vitamins, vitamins C, E, and K, folic acid, fiber, and chlorophyll.

This product is intended as a fresh pet grass seed blend and is not a substitute for complete pet food or veterinary care.

How to Grow Organic Cat Grass Seeds

Use only the amount of seed you plan to grow right away for the freshest results.

Measure about 1/3 cup of Organic Cat Grass Seed Blend for a 10x10 tray.

Soak seeds in room-temperature water for 6–8 hours.

While seeds are soaking, prepare a 10x10 tray with a clean, pet-safe growing medium. Coconut coir works very well. Fertilizer-free potting soil may also be used.

Avoid growing media with artificial fertilizer when growing grass for pets.

After soaking, rinse the seeds well.

Spread the seeds evenly over the surface of the moist growing medium in a single layer.

Do not cover the seeds with soil.

Place another tray or cover over the top to keep the seeds in darkness while they begin sprouting.

Once seeds have sprouted, move the tray to a sunny windowsill or bright indoor area.

Keep the growing medium moist, but not soggy.

Do not allow the tray to completely dry out.

Grass is usually ready to offer or harvest in about 7–10 days.

Light & Watering

After sprouting, place the tray in bright light or a sunny windowsill so the grass can develop a rich green color. Keep the growing medium evenly moist throughout the growing period.

Avoid overwatering or poor airflow, as overly wet conditions may encourage mold. Clean trays, fresh water, proper drainage, and good airflow are important for best results.

Serving Tips

Once the grass is growing well, place the tray where your pet can easily see and access it. Some pets may need time to become familiar with indoor grass, especially if they have never tried it before.

Keep the tray watered and in bright light while your pet explores it. You may also trim the grass with clean scissors and offer small fresh cuttings.

Always monitor pets when introducing new foods or greens. Remove the tray if your pet eats too much at once or shows any sensitivity.
