Red Malabar Spinach Seeds. 70 Days. Open Pollinated, Heirloom, Non-GMO. Basella Rubra. AKA: Red Stem Malabar, Vietnamese Spinach, Red Vine Spinach, Phooi Leaf, Indian Spinach, Alugbati, Ceylon Spinach.

 

This is a vine type spinach with vines that can grow longer than 10 feet. With bright green leaves and stunning red/purple stems this edible is often grown as an ornamental. Not a true spinach, the leaves have a fairly bland flavor. Prefers warm growing conditions. Perennial in Zone 10. Grown as an annual in most of the USA.
